MSI is blessed to have someone like Rajagopal as our advisor and the primary voice across the world and in the music industry. An enterprising personality, Rajagopal is nothing short of an encyclopedia in malayalam music is very well known among the malayalees in the Persian Gulf and Kerala. What makes him unique is his humility that puts all this in perspective.
Originally from Chengannur in Kerala, Rajagopal has been working in Bahrain for more than 2 decades. He is trained in music and has a very good knowledge in malayalam cinema/music and shares good relation with many of the music directors. Rajagopal was the creative producer of MSI's first audio album Hridayamuralika and was instrumental in bringing Vidyadharan Master into this project. He has also been working with many artists to introduce them to MSI and get their support for this project.
Rajagopal is well known for his careful, well written and extremely detailed notes to the administrator for corrections and additions to the database most of which are posted on the MSI blogs. His memory and knowledge are legendary as chronicled in several places [ 1 | 2 | 3 ]. Many music directors, lyricists and singers still consider him as the authority in all matters malayalam music. As a relative, I have had the privilege of knowing him closely over the past 12 years or so. His notebooks with music related information had been one the major inspirations behind the creation of MSI. He still contributes to MSI by sharing his antique pattupusthakam collections, missing details on songs and movies as well as various other articles that are of significant interest to malayalam music fans.
Girijan Menon's knowledge and expertise is not confined just to Malayalam Movies and Songs. He has similar command over Hindi and Tamil Songs, especially the older ones. These are some of the reasons why I consider Mr Menon, whom we affectionately call Gigi, to be the inspiration behind MSI.

Adarsh has been another one of the initial architects behind MSI. His enthusiasm was the primary reason why we have a musical database in place today. He also worked personally as well as coordinated the process of transcribing several thousand songs for the first version of the database in the fall of 2006 from Chithragaanasmaranika.

When we first created the songs database until 1990 from the book Chithra Gana Smaranika (most mistakes from which have been corrected by the above-mentioned experts), we didn't know of a starting point for post 1990s songs. Sree created these lists for covering the songs from 1990 to 2000. Vasanthan E.G. is a renowned music collector, researcher, music enthusiast and writer based in Kerala, who is helping MSI with many extremely rare information and related corrections.
He has the collection of almost all the songs that have ever been released in the malayalam film world. Besides this, he also has the information about the history of films, notices, film reviews and patttupusthakams. He is currently providing information about the songs which are not listed in MSI.
Vasanthan is also an accomplished artist and cartoonist. His skills are legendary for the past several decades starting in his school and college days.
I'm indebted Mr E.K.Jayachandran for bringing Mr Vasanthan to MSI. The value of MSI to all the malayalam music fans and the overall music industry has been enhanced by Vasanthan's presence.

Venugopal has been sending corrections to the site ever since he chanced upon the site in Nov 2007. An expert of old songs, he has been instrumental in getting almost all the singers/songs for the pre-60 songs updated from the LP records.
He has been collecting all possible old songs since 1980 and has all 1960s songs by heart and probably has 99% of the 1960s songs.He has been searching for two songs Janangale Maranangale and Nandavanathile Pushpangale ,both from the movie Vidhi, for the past 10 years to no avail. A great collector of old Malayalam LPs, cassettes and CDs. MSI is blessed to have his active participation.
